Rumors Galore

I'm on vacation this week and this is the first time I've gotten internet access for my computer in a while. Anyway, there is a lot of rumors and news to write on, here it goes.

Captain America:
Ryan Phillip is the current choice. I can see that I guess. I unfortunately don't really know Captain America much, but I think he'd do well (feel free to disagree). Another possible actor is Channing Tatum. Oh, and it looks like Hugo Weaving will play Captain America's nemesis, Red Skull.

The Shadow:
Sony let the rights for The Shadow go, but Sam Raimi (Spiderman) is taking this project else where. Rumor has it that Fox is picking it up and Twilight Eclipse director, David Slade will direct.

Planet of the Apes:
Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes remake may get a sequel. Director Brit Rupert Wyatt will direct, he's last known for The Escapist. No release date has been announced

The Cape:
NBC's new Superhero drama, The Cape, knows how to entice the "nerds". Summer Galu (Terminator: the Sarah Conner Chronicles, Firefly) will play a crusading blogger. Have no fear, though, she will have a physical roll, being an updated Lois Lane.

Eureka:
Battle Star Galactica's James Callis is said to join the cast for this new season, which airs in July.

Red:
Felicia Day (Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog) is staring in Syfy's Red a new adaptation of Little Red Ridding Hood. Has potential with Felicia Day, but it this is another crappy B-Movie, I'm not going to be happy.

Avatar:
Looks like Avatar will be re-released this fall, most likely with 20 minutes of unseen footage.
