Iron Man Extravaganza!!

Iron Man 2:
I saw Iron Man 2 Thursday night. Totally worth it to see the midnight showing. The movie was great. Equally good as the first. Tony Stark still has demons to contest with, this time he is worried about his health and has to deal with one of his father's demons. The power source in his chest is killing him and at first he doesn't know how to fix it. He has to deal with his mortality and destructibility. A coworker of Howard Stark was deported back to the Ukraine (I believe) and his bitterness passes on to his son. Ivan (the son) wants revenge on Stark for his father and he is the major bad guy. Hammer (played by Sam Rockwell) plays an ambitious, but awkward financier who fakes Ivans death and busts him out of prison. He wants to recreate the Iron Man suit and get the contract from the government. I won't go into too much more detail because this movie really was a must-see.

Olivia Munn played a reporter in the beginning. We see her report on the Stark Expo. The joke in the trailer where Pepper kisses the helmet never actually made it into the film. And Stan Lee was also in the beginning, Olivia Munn reports on him being at the expo, but for some reason I'm blanking on who he is in this movie. (ie he was mistaken for Hugh Heffner in the last film).

Inception:
A new Inception trailer was shown with Iron Man 2. This time we get a good idea of the plot. Leonardo Dicapprio's character explains that we need security for our dreams. People can kidnap someone, tranquilize them and make them dream. In the dream they can make them reveal their secrets. Watch:  (I couldn't find the right trailer, but this one is good too.)

Opening July 16th 2010.

Super 8:
JJ Abrams is directing a new movie about aliens. The teaser trailer was shown with the Iron Man 2 movie. Not much was revealed in the trailer. I got the feeling that the entire audience was like WTF. All we see is a truck taking out a train and something in a train container wants out... and it doesn't sound human. Unfortunately the trailer hasn't been put online yet. Here is a bootleg.
